With a deep love for disco dating back to childhood — his first guitar song at age 12 was "I Will Survive" — MGR Mike has been crafting feel-good dance music since 2004, experimenting with different genres before fully embracing the funky, soulful side of house. Since stepping behind the decks in 2015, he has shared stages with legendary acts like A-Trak, LF System, Dombresky, Classixx, Never Dull, RJD2, and Chromeo, while his own productions have been turning heads, racking up DJ support from some of the biggest names in the world including Jamie Jones, Mark Knight, Purple Disco Machine, Claptone, Themba, Paco Osuna, Shiba San, and Stone Bridge, among others.

In his sets, MGR Mike blends his own original productions with underground disco-house gems and timeless classics, creating an experience that bridges generations. He wants younger audiences to discover disco's roots while showing longtime fans that the 1970s sound is alive and thriving in fresh, modern ways.

Beyond the booth, MGR Mike is pushing the genre forward through his record label and publishing company, Sparkle Motion Recordings, his role as a founding member of Discoluminati, and his monthly event, Midnight Velvet — a celebration of disco, house, and all things funky. His ultimate goal? To build a community where funk, disco, and house music shine brighter than ever.

With a commitment to positivity, diversity, and supporting artists of all backgrounds, MGR Mike had a breakout year in 2025 with extensive tour dates in Mexico City, Los Angeles, Toronto, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Detroit, Minneapolis, and more — with an even bigger year planned for 2026.
